‘Each animator stood alone in the Darwin Community Arts theatre, walls cloaked in black velvet, and recited their dream through a circular black pop filter and into a large diaphragm condenser microphone. Together, we listened back to the crispy voice, imagining the vivid images, edited the words and sound effects, and retook voices as required.’

This was Jack’s role as audio producer at Darwin Community Art’s dream animation workshops. The star animator and dream guru was renowned author Levin A. Diatschenko and the brains behind the project was art activist Georgia Glen.

This program included a series of six workshops held during 2020. Participants used a free app called Flippaclip to animate a dream.
